Toronto has a new club called the, police $100K club, it started in 2009. It’s a club just for police offers that make over $100K a year. Toronto police salaries have been spiraling upwards and will continue to grow.
This is crazy, rarely police offers make that much a year. Why should Toronto police get away with this. They are no more special then any other police both put their lives on the line. Its out range to make one area of police offers more special.
It’s not like they even just get the yearly paycheck but they also get over time on top of that. They get up to $60 to $70 bucks an hour for just directing traffic around construction. That’s a lot of money for just pointing where cars should go.
This is costing Toronto more money in the long run. They say it helps generate income for the city. Which is wrong, having to pay more for their paychecks. They police offers make more money then firefighters of Toronto. When really firefighters risk their lives way more then the police.
